Choose A Niche Training Module
What Is A Niche?
A niche is a topic you are interested in. A topic that you will not mind building a website about. More importantly, a niche is a small section of that topic. The small part of that topic that people like you are interested in. The will be your audience.
At this point you may be thinking finding a niche will be difficult. Please let me reassure you that is will be more simple than you think. Please allow me to explain.
There is NO SUCH THING as a bad niche. If you are interested in the niche then there are millions of other people interested in the same niche. Even your niche has a niche and the deeper you dive into a niche the better. This is where money is made. The more narrow the niche the better. Let’s take a look at what I mean in this quick choose a niche training module.
Choosing The Right Niche
The most important thing is to choose a niche that is not too broad. When I say broad, I mean things like “Love” or “Fashion”. You need to narrow down the by choosing a specific niche, within a niche. You don’t want your audience to be everyone and you don’t want to compete with the big boys. Let me explain in this choose a niche training module.
If we take a niche like “Fashion”. We need to delve deeper and think about what aspect of fashion we want to focus on. Such as;
- Dresses, Hats, Shoes, Suites . . .
- Mens, Womens, Childrens, Teens, Young Adults . . .
That is a great start! Now that we have a nice broad audience to target let’s not stop there! Dig deeper…
- Women’s handmade beachwear.
- Mens Dress Boots.
By narrowing the niche down to a quite specific target audience you will find a much more profit potential for your website. This is because there will be less competition and it is much easier to create high-quality content around a small niche.
So, for example, you can create a blog dedicated to Women’s Beachwear and develop your ideas around that. This will make it much easier for you to create traffic to your website because you are targeting a very specific set of people. If you simply created a blog for “Fashion” you would be on page 50 of Google, buried under the big brands and no one would ever see or read your blog.
If we take a look at the list we made a few minutes ago you will see that we need to dig deeper. The subjects we have chosen are too broad because we need to target a very specific audience/niche.
- tennis – Women’s Tennis Shoes
- fashion – Women’s Beachwear
- holiday – Holiday Rentals In Malibu
- wheat free diet – Wheat Free Diet For Teenagers
- collecting coins – Collecting WW2 Coins
Choose A Niche That Fits You
One important aspect is that you choose a topic or niche which is also your hobby, passion or which excites you. This is because you want to create content around things you actually want to write about. The simple reason for this is you are going to spend a LOT of time writing, engaging, and reading about this niche so if you do not enjoy writing about Women’s Tennis Shoes then do not choose it as your niche!
Before We Continue
Now let us do the same as in the previous module and take the list of 5 things you wrote down. Take 10 minutes and dig a litter deeper into these ideas.
Once you have these 5 ideas with a more targeted niche we can move on to the –
