Step1: Get A Domain Name and Web Hosting
The first thing you need to do is get a domain name and hosting. This means you will name and create your personal space on the internet www.yourdomain.com (i.e. www.TonyWideman.com), to start a blog to make money. This will be your world and you will rule over it. LOL.

I also like SiteRubix for FREE web hosting. I would not recommend free hosting for SERIOUS websites. Only for testing and getting some practice.

Step 2: Installing WordPress
WordPress is the world’s #1 platform to start a blog to make money and I recommend you use it. It is a very easy platform for set-up and use. You will be amazed at how simple it is when you give it a try. Check out the video examples here.
Step 3: Choose a WordPress Theme
Ok, you have completed the WordPress install and it is looking kind of bland. Your new world does not look as good as other websites. You can do something about that by installing a theme. There are thousands of free WordPress themes to choose from.
Be creative and test as many as you can before you choose the one you would like to use to start a blog to make money. I use the Kadence Themes. It’s very light and surprisingly powerful. I am a Simple Living Minimalist and I love their clean, light, minimalist designs. WordPress also offers thousands of FREE Themes.
